Stephen Dunham Dies: ‘DAG’ Actor Dies Of Heart Attack At 48

has confirmed the sad news that Stephen Dunham, an actor best known for his work on NBC sitcom DAG , died last week after suffering a heart attack. He was 48.

Dunham, whose full name was Stephen Dunham Bowers, was born in New Hampshire and later attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts before moving to L.A. to pursue a career in the film industry.

Besides DAG , Dunham appeared in a number of other short-lived TV shows, including ABC’s Hot Properties (alongside Sofia Vergara) and Oh, Grow Up . He also had recurring and guest roles on What I Like About You (Amanda Bynes, Jennie Garth), The Bill Engvall Show , Just Shoot Me and Hot in Cleveland .

On the big screen, Dunham had supporting roles in Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can and Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic , and also made appearances in The Mummy , Anger Management and the 2012 Olive Stone flick, Savages.

He will also appear posthumously in the upcoming horror film Paranormal Activity 4 as the on-screen husband to his real-life wife, Alexondra Lee. Paranormal Activity 4 is scheduled to hit theaters in October.

Besides his wife, Dunham is survived by his parents and two siblings, a brother and a sister.

According to Hollywood Reporter , Stephen Dunham’s family is asking that donations be made in honor of the actor to the National Brain Tumor Society or anti-poverty organization Kiva.org.
