Over the years, there have been some interesting happenings that would occur during soccer matches. Taking into account that soccer (or football to the rest of the world outside of the United States) is the most popular sport globally, it is only a matter of time before spectators do something out of the norm. The Inquisitr previously reported on a parody video on such a unique event, in which Scott Sterling, a “Yale Goalkeeper,” was able to block five penalty kicks in a row with his face .

However, it should be noted the aforementioned video was made for entertainment and never really happened. So whenever aggressiveness hits the soccer field out of the norm of the game, it surely stands out. Kind of like when Zinedine Zidane headbutted Marco Materazzi in the chest. This time, one soccer player unbelievably body slammed another soccer player on the opposing team after he was hit.

The video of the incident was filmed by Daniel Powell and uploaded to County TV , the official YouTube Channel of Stockport County. In the video, a soccer player on Stockport County accidentally knocked over another player on Worcester City. Apparently, the Worcester City player did not take the hit as an accident, which resulted in him body slamming the other player. It also looked as if a brawl was about to break out but referees and other players on both teams were able to resolve any fight that would have happened.

At this moment, the video is the fifth most popular video on YouTube, as shown on the Popular Right Now listing on the site. It has just over half a million views, more than 1,000 likes, and was just uploaded yesterday. Apparently, there are some wrestling aficionados commenting on the video, arguing on what kind of wrestling move was used. By popularity, it seems the Worchester City performed a German Suplex Side Slam. Taking into account that is the most popular comment on the video, it must be of importance.

Now that you’ve seen the Worchester City soccer player perform a “body slam” (which is really a German Suplex Side Slam) to the Stockport County soccer player, what are your views? For soccer fans, where do you rank this act of violence among all others in soccer game history?
