Selena Gomez is feeling “betrayed” and “stabbed in the back,” as Yahoo! Celebrity will tell you. Yahoo! Celebrity commented that Selena is jealous of her ex-boyfriend’s new (rumored) beau, adding that pictures of Justin and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner recently surfaced on Instagram.
Yahoo! Celebrity interviewed an anonymous source, who suggested the photos were proof that Justin Bieber was cheating on Miss Gomez with Miss Jenner. Perhaps even more surprisingly, the source added that the controversy began at last year’s Coachella, stating that both denied any wrongdoing even though Selena had doubts, Yahoo! Celebrity added.
After years of an on-and-off relationship with Justin Beiber, Selena was rumored to be dating EDM whiz kid Zedd, with whom she produced the single “I Want You to Know.” Despite professing her commitment and love for someone (presumably Zedd) in that song, it now seems more like Selena hasn’t fully moved on. However, Yahoo! Celebrity’s source (who claims to be close to Selena) stated that Gomez’ anger comes not from a desire to restore her former relationship, but more from feeling betrayed by Bieber’s actions.
Selena’s new single, “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” is written about a former lover whom she is unable to let go of even though she knows she should (Bieber reference?). While there’s no real evidence to back up that this song is about Bieber, it doesn’t take much to see the parallels.
Before the whole Instagram fiasco, it appeared Justin and Selena were on good terms (Bieber even invited Selena to come visit him at this year’s Coachella festival). The Latin Post called Bieber’s invitation a way to tell Selena he missed her and to “break the ice” though Miss Gomez rejected the invitation. The Post also mentioned that Bieber congratulated Selena on finishing production for the not-yet-released film “In Dubious Battle.”
Needless to say, Zedd isn’t exactly pleased about all of this and demanded Selena either show him she wants this relationship or risk losing his commitment to her, the Latin Post added. The Latin Post went on to note Zedd’s concerns that Selena may still not be over Bieber, citing Selena’s recent like on an Instagram video posted by her former boyfriend. After Bieber claimed much of his new album’s content was inspired by Selena Gomez , one has to wonder whether he misses her as well or if that was a subtle hint that Selena has a lot of shade coming her way (knowing Bieber, it’s probably the latter).
