Ryan Reynolds is known for his comedic comments, especially during interviews. However, no one was prepared when he made a reference to his intimate moments with wife Blake Lively in an acceptance speech.

Reynolds, 39, bagged the Best Comedic Performance award at the recently concluded 2016 MTV Movie Awards on Saturday night for the movie Deadpool , which has earned more than $358 million in gross earnings, and that is just within the United States.

Like all awardees, Reynolds was given a short time to thank the people who continue to help and support him, especially his wife , Blake. He shared a joke before leaving the stage.

“I want to thank my wife, Blake. Everything I do is to make her laugh, especially the sex!”

Blake Lively, 28, who was probably watching at home, may have actually blushed when her husband made the comment. But considering a previous Instagram post, the joke may not bother her at all.

In the Instagram post a couple of months ago, Lively is pictured sitting on Reynolds’ lap, while one of his hands cups her right breast.

“Two Deadpools, one cup. Your turn #????????L,” she wrote in the caption.

It seems the two are completely comfortable showing their affection for one another, and they do not care if the media sees them. The two had a baby girl late in 2014 and named her James.

In the meantime, before Reynolds accepted his golden popcorn award, a Deadpool dance party was started and led by Salt-N-Pepa, performing the action character’s favorite song, “Shoop.” The short dance number even included Zac Efron and Seth Rogen.

When the actor went up on stage, he immediately remarked how great it is the win the award, and not someone else.

“I’m really glad Amy Schumer didn’t win. That would have been really weird with those dancers,” he said.

In his acceptance speech, he also thanked the fans for making the film possible.

“I’ve been trying to get a Deadpool movie made for a little bit over a decade and, actually, I failed,” he said.

The actor said that it was the fans who “got this movie made,” and “pushed it over the top.” Reynolds emphasized that they are the reason he won the award.

Before capping off his speech with the naughty remark in reference to his sex life with wife Blake Lively, Ryan also tipped his hat on the people behind the film, Twentieth Century Fox, the Deadpool team, and the “entire crew up in Vancouver.”

“We had a blast working on this movie, but it wasn’t all unicorns and cocaine,” he quipped once more.

Reynolds won the MTV Award and beat other nominees, Amy Schumer in Trainwreck , Kevin Hart in Ride Along 2 , Melissa McCarthy in Spy , Rebel Wilson in Pitch Perfect 2 , and Will Ferrell in Get Hard .

Aside from getting the Best Comedic Performance award, Reynolds also bagged another award, Best Fight during the star-studded awarding ceremony.

Reynolds was recognized with co-star Ed Skrein in Deadpool and Ajax’s on-screen battle in the movie.

“They had me fighting another man in a burning building nude as though it were ripped from the pages of my childhood,” he said in his acceptance speech.

The awards show was shown on MTV, Sunday night at 8 P.M. E.T.

Reynolds will return to the big screen this month with Criminal , an action film wherein the skills and memories of a deceased CIA agent (Reynolds) were transferred to a dangerous convict (Kevin Costner) in order to provide the authorities details of the agent’s final assignment before getting killed.
