Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin took to Twitter to mock President Barack Obama and the sanctions he levied against the former USSR yesterday. Rogozin called the president, “ Comrade Obama ” and basically stated the sanctions designed to be repercussions for ongoing actions in Crimea, will have no negative impact at all.
Shortly after President Obama announced the Russian sanctions, high-ranking officials from the Soviet Union shared their opinions about the measures on social networks. The Russian Prime Minister said, “Comrade @BarackObama, what should do those who have neither accounts nor property abroad? Or U didn’t think about it? I think some prankster prepared the draft of this Act of the US President.”
Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov, reportedly a supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin , tweeter a political cartoon also mocking President Obama. The Crimean official then posted another photo of President Obama’s head photoshopped onto a military uniform and caption the image like this, “I wonder if Barack will be promoted to colonel after the successful campaign to return Crimean?”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the government-run news outlet, Rossiya Segodnya , which is reportedly under Dmitry Rogozin’s supervision, shared this warning with Americans, “Russia is the only country in the world realistically capable of turning the United States into radioactive ash.” The segment went on to note that even if soldiers in command posts are dad after a nuclear retaliation attack, the Russian missile system will automatically fire from submarines and mines in the “right direction.”

A Russian reportedly targeted by the sanctions, Elena Mizulina, tweeted her thoughts about the measures enacted by President Obama:
“I think I was targeted for a series of high profile laws, which touch on protecting children from information that can harm their health and development.” Mizulina appeared to be referencing Russian laws with ban “homosexual propaganda. The States are trying to exert pressure on me, in order to make me change my opinion. My answer to my opponents – this will never happen! I view what happened as a gross violation of my rights and freedoms as a citizen and a politician.”
Alexey Navalny, a Russian currently under house arrest posted this on Twitter, “The list of 7 people who fall under the sanctions is laughable. Obama just made our thieves and crooks laugh and reassured them.”
