Rihanna is making deals all over the place. First, we heard about the news that the singer scored yet another acting role, and now the New York Post is reporting that the R&B star has just inked an exclusive deal with Samsung.
The New York Post reports that the deal with Samsung is worth $25 million dollars. The deal is a tie-in with Rihanna’s upcoming, highly-anticipated album, Anti , as well as her upcoming tour to support it. The deal took approximately seven months to complete. The reason why it took so long to ink is because this deal with the “Umbrella” singer is unprecedented. It’s said the last minute tweaks Rihanna made to her upcoming album also dragged the deal out, as well.
As the Inquisitr reported , Rihanna is about to drop her upcoming album in the next couple of weeks. Much like Beyoncé, and Adele, who also has an album coming out in November, Riri is doing this with limited promotion. According to The Post , Rihanna has talked about promoting her upcoming eighth studio album in a fresh way. Getting a major backing from Samsung is definitely thinking outside of the box.
The only people not jumping for joy about the deal are people in the marketing industry. According to a source, this will put some people out of the game, as “no-one wants to have $25 million deals in the market place.”
With the talk of Rihanna’s Anti , some are questioning if she will drop the album right before Adele drops her album, 25 . Rihanna’s boyfriend Travis Scott let fans know about her latest release.
Fans have been impatient with Rihanna, mostly because she released “Four Five Seconds” as a single to her upcoming album, and then months later, fans were still left out regarding what was happening in the studio, and wondering if the album was even finished. Many fans took this as an indication that an album would come in 2016 instead of 2015, as originally promised.

Scott dropped a hint that Rihanna was about to release her album soon in the bio on his personal Instagram account. His bio reads, “RODEO OUT NOW…ANTI SOONER.” Now that we know about Rihanna’s new deal with Samsung, it looks like those that are expecting a November release date will actually get what they’ve been waiting for.
Rihanna isn’t only returning to music, she’s also making a big effort into the acting world. The star just scored a role in a Sci-Fi movie called Valérian and the City of a Thousand Planets . The film will be directed by Sci-Fi great Luc Besson, who most recently brought Lucy to the big screen. Rihanna will also star alongside model-actress Cara Delevingne and Clive Owen.

Her first was the poorly received, Battleship , in which she played Petty Officer Cora ‘Weps’ Raikes. Her second foray into acting was playing herself in the Seth Rogen comedy, This Is The End; her third was Annie , in which she played Moon Goddess. Earlier in the year she made her voice over debut with Home , voicing the role of “Tip,” the first animated heroine of color.
