Is One Direction battling the Beliebers? In a feud some think was fueled by fans, a brouhaha has been brewing since the news broke that Purpose from Justin Bieber and Made In The A.M. from One Direction both drop on November 13, reported MTV .

Does this seem like a set-up for a nasty feud between the two? Not according to One Direction and, in particular, Harry Styles and Niall Horan. The two were asked how they handle the issue that fans of Beliebers and One Direction are battling on social media over the fact that their records are dropping on the same day. And Belieb it or not, 1D is dogged in denying any issues.

“There is no need for a fight, if they are fighting. We just happen to be releasing our albums on the same day. It’s happened to us before; our first couple of albums were released on the same day as Rihanna,” revealed Niall.

the reaction has been amazing all day so far.. Thank you .

Moreover, Horan contends that the media have boosted the visibility of the supposed One Direction rivalry. And the One Direction fan fave also contended that he feels it was just serendipity that it played out the way that it has.

“I think the press have just made a bit of a deal out of it…It’s fine. You know you’re gonna be up against someone in the charts — it just happens that we have fallen on the same day,” added Niall.

So what does Harry think? Styles also feels that it’s a non-issue despite the Belieb backers bickering on social media.

“I don’t think anyone makes a record with competing with someone else in mind. I think then you don’t make it for the right reasons,” said Harry.

Styles noted that One Direction as a group is happy about the record and take pride in it.

So our new album is called Made in the A.M. Can’t wait for you all to hear it !

“It happens to be on the same day as someone else, and that’s it. It’s not a win/lose thing — it’s, we hope that our fans like it, and if it does well that would be amazing, but that’s not ultimately what it’s about,” insisted Harry.

Styles and Niall aren’t alone in taking that attitude.

After Justin had seemed to shade One Direction and hint that he thought 1D deliberately selected his release date (which made Directioners distressed), Bieber kept it low-key on Twitter.

@NiallOfficial love when people try to make it something it ain’t. Love to u my friend. Talk soon. The rest of u pipe down. all in good fun

Louis Tomlinson, meanwhile, has long been one of the fan favorites, and he is staging somewhat of a reunion with Simon Cowell, who takes pride in creating One Direction , reported Entertainment Weekly .

Louis will have a very different relationship with Simon when he heads back to The X Factor U.K ., showing what a difference a few years makes in the entertainment industry. It’s been five years since Tomlinson took third place. And now, after that disappointing result proved to be the jump-start for a world-renowned career complete with squealing fans and big bucks, Louis will return to assist his mentor, Simon Cowell, choose the ultimate contenders in what’s known as the “Overs” group.

In addition to Tomlinson, Meghan Trainor will work with Rita Ora to figure out the “Girls” finalists. Mark Ronson will give a boost to Nick Grimshaw to choose which young dudes made it, and Jess Glynne is slated to give her expert support to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini for the finalists for the groups category.
