The IOC has announced that media internet access at the Beijing Olympic games will be unrestricted.
The news comes after days of international outrage, with reports that internet access would be heavily censored, restricting the free flow of information from western media attending the event.
According to Reuters, the IOC had said it was expecting BOCOG to solve the issue and said it has always made clear that media representatives should have full access to the Internet.
The agreement does not appear to extend outside of the media, so others visiting the games will still have to deal with Government content restrictions.
