Palm City, FL – President Barack Obama, while on a three-day golf getaway from the White House and Capitol Hill, played with golf legend Tiger Woods on Sunday.
The president met with Butch Harmon , Tiger Woods’ former swing coach, on Saturday to grab some pointers and help develop his game.
Woods has met the president before, but this is the first time that the two have played golf together.
According to Yahoo! News , the White House hasn’t yet confirmed the report, but the president’s itinerary supports the claim.
President Obama arrived in Florida Friday night following a speech in Chicago. The president is on a three-day golf trip from the White House while the rest of the family get in some slope time at a ski resort in Colorado.
Josh Earnest, White House spokesman, said Saturday, ”At this time, there are no public events scheduled or plans for the president to leave the grounds of the golf club.”
A Golf Digest senior writer and Golf Channel analyst, Tim Rosaforte, tweeted that the two were preparing to play at the Floridian Yacht and Golf Club in Palm City. Jim Crane, resort and Houston Astros owner, also joined the two on the course.

Fox Sports said that President Obama also met with campaign contributors on Saturday including Tony Chase, a Houston businessman and lawyer; and Milton Carroll, chairman of CenterPoint Energy.
