Nina Dobrev has a lot of boyfriends these days, and apparently Ian Somerhalder is still one of them.
If you’re a fan of The Vampire Diaries , then chances are you’ve heard at least one of the rumors surrounding Dobrev’s many romances. Not only was she in a steady relationship with her co-star for quite some time, she also recently sucked face with James Marsden while hanging out in New Orleans. That’s what anonymous sources proclaim, anyway.
Nina also recently spent some quality time with Muse drummer Dominic Howard, though details about that alleged romance are few and far between. As if all this wasn’t enough to keep Dobrev’s fans knee-deep in a pile of steaming gossip, the International Business Times reports that the actress and her Somerhalder are trying to work things out.
Although celebrity relationship rumors are always a dime a dozen, there are an unusually large number of reports centered around Nina Dobrev’s love life. It’s truly bizarre, and often makes separating fact from fiction extremely difficult. As such, please don’t hang your hopes on the latest batch of nonsense to pop out of the rumor mill.
Here’s what the folks over at Celebrity Dirty Laundry has to say about Nina and Ian’s rocky relationship :
“She and Ian aren’t necessarily through yet, but Ian has allegedly given her an ultimatum: either get serious about their relationship and get married, or break up for good. Unlike their many breakups and reunions in the past, Ian has made it clear that there are no take-backs this time around. He’s sick and tired of playing second fiddle to her multitude of boyfriends, and he wants the guarantee of a long-term commitment.”
The Inquisitr previously reported that Ian is apparently very jealous about Dobrev has her new love interests. Since the pair were famously involved in a fairly serious relationship, the actor is understandably heartbroken by the turn of events .
A completely different source explained:
“Sources tell us that Ian is jealous of Nina’s new boyfriend, but there’s unfortunately not much he can do about. It’s her life and her choice, and she’s made it very clear to Ian that she’s not interested in settling down. Considering that Ian’s coming up on the latter half of his 30s, I doubt he’ll hold out for Nina much longer. Even if they do get back together, I doubt she’ll agree to get married, settle down, and have children — especially with her entire career ahead of her.”
