Reports have been swirling about Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s marriage. After five years together, the couple is considering ending their relationship. A previous report on Inquisitr has already hinted that they’re on the “ brink of divorce .”
Richie, 33, had a “ tense meeting ” with Madden, 36, on Tuesday, according to a report in the Daily Mail . The reality star clasped her hands tightly after she was spotted having lunch with her husband at a pizzeria. She also had a concerned look on her face. In fact, both Richie and Madden looked frustrated and angry after their meeting.
Richie wore a loose gray turtleneck sweater and matching gray leggings with black high-top sneakers. Her sweater conveniently kept her hands concealed, so that Richie wouldn’t be spotted without her wedding ring again.

The Good Charlotte rocker kept it low-key and casual with a black denim ensemble, a navy blue T-Shirt, and construction boots paired with a trucker’s hat and dark sunglasses. Nicole and Joel obviously didn’t want to be seen, but it was too late. The troubled couple were already spotted by paparazzi.
Moving trucks have already been spotted outside the couple’s Los Angeles home. A source close to Richie and Madden claims that “divorce is imminent” in the future.
“Nicole has finally had enough of Joel and she is only interested in moving on now with her life. She told him to leave the house and Joel has complied. They have been living as roommates for a very long time now. The passion fizzled out from their marriage years ago and people close to them know that they have both been doing their own thing for quite some time.”
The fashion icon was already spotted without her wedding ring . According to several media outlets, Nicole hasn’t been seen with her ring in quite some time. Nicole and Joel have managed to keep their relationship private, despite the reports. They want to keep their family away from paparazzi harassment, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry . Nicole and Joel want to stay married for the sake of their kids, but they know they no longer can.

The Richie and Madden divorce rumors started when In Touch Weekly reported that couple met with a lawyer.
“They’re on the brink of divorce.They’ve been spending more time apart because all they do is fight when they’re together. Nicole can be very forceful when she doesn’t get her way, and Joel doesn’t respond to that.”
The couple bickers about everything, even when it comes to raising their kids.
“For example, Nicole’s been on a health kick and wants the kids on the same diet. But when Joel’s around, he lets them have candy and juice boxes and whatever they want — it makes her furious.
“If it wasn’t for the kids, they’d be divorced already. Nicole’s already trying to hang on for their sake, but she’s at her breaking point.”
Maybe Richie and Madden’s latest meeting was about working on their marriage. Hopefully, the couple won’t decide to call it quits after five years of marriage. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden married in December, 2010, after four years of dating. The couple has two children, Harlow, 8, and Sparrow, 4.
