The Nicki Minaj-Meek Mill relationship rumors never seem to cease. If you believe all the press within the last few months, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have broken up, Nicki Minaj is pregnant , and the couple plan to get married. (None of the rumors have been confirmed, by the way.)
Throw in a Meek Mill beef with Drake and Nicki’s world tour, and it becomes really difficult to keep up with all that’s happened in the Nicki Minaj-Meek Mill relationship saga. There’s been a lot of drama and the couple has done little to set the record straight.
After so much drama, at least one blogger has begun to ask the question: what exactly is Nicki Minaj doing with Meek Mill, anyway? Alexis Rhiannon of Bustle explains.
“Minaj is essentially queen of her industry right now: She’s smart, successful, talented, universally respected, funny, understands her fans, and can work with whoever she wants. So, what does she see in this guy who is best known for picking fights he can’t hang in them, and whose last album, Dreams Worth More Than Money , sold only 325,000 units even with Minaj’s influence helping out his name recognition? It just seems so obvious to me that he’s riding her coattails.”
The Bustle writer is referencing the Meek Mill-Drake feud, in which Drake is widely believed to have made Meek Mill look foolish.
Rhiannon goes on to give Minaj the benefit of the doubt despite the fact that she believes Minaj is, in her mind, obviously superior to Meek Mill. The Bustle writer even goes so far as to say that perhaps Meek Mill simply makes the “Anaconda” rapper happy.
“Minaj is just so much better than this dude. But, she’s proven herself to be such a smart lady that I’m holding out hope there’s something more to Mill we don’t know about.”
Perhaps the reason that the Nicki Minaj-Meek Mill relationship still exists is none of our business. Regardless of the reasons Minaj is dating Meek Mill, one thing seems to be obvious: fans and media alike are obsessed with the couple, whom Meek Mill has compared to Jay Z and Beyoncé .
On Tuesday, for example, Hollywood Life reported that Minaj has already begun planning her wedding to Meek Mill (despite a lack of public engagement) and that Minaj would like to walk down the aisle “draped in diamonds.”
Regardless of why Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are dating it seems to be clear that the couple makes one another happy, rumors and all.
