Airline traveler Munyee Lau wrote an open letter to a fellow passenger whom she says was extremely rude and obnoxious during a recent flight. According to NewsMax , Lau was so disgusted by the man sitting behind her, she decided to write down a few things she had noticed over the course of the eight-hour flight, and did so on an air sickness bag. After the AirAsia flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia, Lau submitted the letter to gag site SGAG where it quickly went viral.
Below are some highlights from the letter.
“Despite my common economy seat, you offered me a full back massage by repeatedly kicking the back of chair. To date, I have yet to regain full mobility of the lower half of my body. But since I am single, I suppose I don’t have much use for it anyway.”
“It was so nice of you to take off your shoes and put your feet between my seat and the plane window. It must have taken considerable effort – it was a small space but you stuck it as close to my face as you possibly could. Your kindness moves me.”
Munyee Lau says her letter was meant to be comical, but that she has received both positive and negative reactions to her words. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , some people called the letter “passenger shaming,” and didn’t think it was right for Lau to take photos, and share her opinions of this particular passenger (who has remained anonymous, only identified as “passenger 15A.”

Munyee Lau has defended the letter. According to ABC News , comments have been “pouring in” to Lau since she published her thoughts, but she says that she was just trying to be funny. Many feel as though having a sense of humor when it comes to things like this makes life a little easier to handle.
“Rather than being traumatized by it, I figured I’d write about it because that’s how I cope. Thus far, rather than the crying babies, this was by far the worse flight and the most humorous one. Some people were saying I was shaming the passenger and causing her harm. I wrote it to be comedic.”
