Monica Potter has landed her first official post- Parenthood role. According to UPI , the actress (who has played Kristina Braverman for the past several years) will star in and produce a new comedy that will air on NBC. This is excellent news for her fans, all of whom have been devastated knowing that Parenthood is coming to an end after six seasons. Thursday night is the show’s finale.

“The 43-year-old actress will portray a woman with three ex-husbands who struggles to maintain her family life and re-enter the dating pool. Sherry Bilsing-Graham ( Friends ) and Ellen Kreamer will write and co-executive produce with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman.”

Monica Potter confirmed the exciting news on her Facebook page , where she keeps in touch with fans and lets them know what she’s up to when she is not on television. The actress is also super excited to be opening her very first store (in Cleveland), where she will sell some of her amazing handcrafted items from candles to ornaments. If you are not in Ohio, you can check out her items on her website, MrsPotter .

As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Potter was one of the only actors ever nominated for an award related to her work on Parenthood . Her role was one of the most versatile, and so many people could relate to her. And it wasn’t just the role, either. People fell in love with the person behind the role.

“Monica Potter was the only actress ever nominated for a major award. After she gave an outstanding performance of a cancer patient (now a cancer survivor), Monica was nominated for a Golden Globe for best supporting actress in 2014. She did not win, however. In 2013, Potter was nominated for a TCA for individual achievement in drama. She didn’t win that time either.”

Monica Potter’s new show has not been named (or at least that information has not been made public yet), and no air date has been given. Fans will keeping an eye on Facebook to see when this new show will be on, and you can bet that all of them will be tuning in. It might be a far cry from Parenthood, but knowing that Monica is going to be on television again in the not-so-distant future is great news.
