Miley Cyrus is getting seriously tired of all the misconceptions. Every time the girl does an interview, she’s coming to her own defense.

The former Hannah Montana star has worked overtime trying to distance herself from the days she spent as a Disney darling. However, her desire to throw some dirt on her squeaky-clean image left some folks wondering if she is just a wild child without a moral compass.

During her chat with Notion magazine, Miley Cyrus attempted to clear up these misconceptions . According to the singer, she has a bit more substance than most people realize.

“People have this misconception of me that I’m just one of these kids on TV and that now I go off and party and I’m just this ratchet white girl, and I’m not. I work really, really hard, I’m just in a different environment,” the singer told the publication.

If you’re not hip to modern lingo, then you might be wondering what defines a “ratchet girl.” According to Urban Dictionary , this individual is described as a “diva, mostly from urban cities and ghettos, that has reason to believe she is every mans eye candy. Unfortunately, she’s wrong.”

In addition to learning something absolutely useless about Miley Cyrus, you now thoroughly understand the “ratchet girl” concept. Impress your friends by using the term in a sentence at some point this week.

When she isn’t spouting thinly-veiled references to ecstasy in her music videos, the singer spends quite a bit of time discussing why she acts the way she does. The Inquisitr previously reported that Cyrus believes being wild and crazy is just part of growing up.

“All I did was get a haircut and buy some clothes and everyone thinks that I am made into a robot that changes with what’s popular every 10 years,” she explained.

In the mood for something a little disturbing? Check out the We Can’t Stop video without music. It definitely makes Cyrus seem unstable. It’s still not suitable for work.

Do you think of Miley Cyrus as just some “ratchet white girl”?
