Melissa Gorga may not have gotten along with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, on the previous seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , but the two are now closer than ever. These two have been working on their relationship and Melissa has been there for Teresa as she has been battling her legal charges.
On Sunday’s episode of the show, Giudice got a phone call from fellow co-star, Amber Marchese, and she was emotional over the entire guilty plea. The odd thing about Amber’s emotional phone call is that her husband, Jim Marchese, is the one who works with the prosecutor’s office that is going after Teresa and her husband, Joe.
According to a new Bravo report, Melissa Gorga is now revealing that she was just as surprised as Gia over the phone call. Gia started laughing, because she didn’t understand why Amber would cry and sob so much over rumors that Teresa had pleaded guilty. At the time, the Giudices had not pleaded guilty.
“I’m sorry! It just struck me as so funny, and I know tears aren’t supposed to be funny, but I think the fact that she has only been in Teresa’s presence a handful of times at this point just took the seriousness right out of it. Maybe she’s just a crier? Not sure, but I needed the laugh in this very serious episode,” Melissa Gorga reveals.
It is no secret that Melissa has been there for Teresa this season as she has been visiting her sister-in-law.
“Obviously Teresa is going through some very tough times, and Dina and I thought it would be nice just to ease her mind for a little and try to get her to relax and not think about it for a minute,” Gorga adds.
Melissa Gorga herself has been dealing with some personal issues. According to The Inquisitr , Gorga has been going through some financial problems due to her new home that her husband is building for them. On the show, Melissa explained that they had invested much of their money into Joe’s new business venture, so if it failed, they would be in trouble.
But other reports claim that Melissa Gorga has actually been cashing in on her book, Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage. With over one million copies of her books sold, Gorga must have received quite the paycheck.
