[WARNING: Mild spoilers ahead]
The days are getting shorter and summer is almost over, and fall is right around the corner, bringing with it news of the second seasons for Marvel’s heroes, Agent Carter and Daredevil .
Agent Carter
In the penultimate episode of Marvel’s Agent Carter ‘s first season, Chief of the Strategic Scientific Reserve, Roger Dooley (Shea Wigham), died in a fiery explosion while leaping from a window, leaving the role of Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) boss wide open.
Marvel slipped the news of who got the job as the new chief on Twitter and it’s probably not who you might have expected, and definitely not who Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) expected.

That’s right, Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) has his name on the big door, even though Agent Thompson was made acting chief before the season concluded. But that was in New York. It’s been confirmed that the setting of Agent Carter will change in the second season and will be moving to L.A.
A tease from Michele Fazekas, executive producer on the show, suggests that Thompson will only remain in charge of the New York office, not the whole of the SSR — perhaps that’s the role Agent Sousa will be playing. And if that’s true then he and Peggy might actually get that date he asked for at the end of the first season.
Keep an eye out for the second season of Agent Carter to air sometime in early 2016.
Daredevil
It was announced in June that Jon Bernthal would take on the role of the Punisher in season 2 of Daredevil but we have yet to see any official photos of what he will look like or what else there is to discover about the second season. It seems we will have to wait until they’re deeper into production before that sees the light of day.
But Den of Geek reported that Bernthal took pity on the fans and threw out a bone with a tweet depicting some of the Punisher’s arsenal of weaponry.

It’s also been announced that Stephen Rider ( Shameless ) will be joining the cast as a series regular playing New York District Attorney Blake Tower, a man sympathetic to Daredevil and his brand of justice.

In an interview with Empire , in April, Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, talked about the timing of season 2 and some of the other Defenders shows.
“We’ll begin shooting in the second half of the year. It’ll be the same timeline as the last show, so season two will come out about this time [April] next year. Again, I’m imagining all this, but they’ll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the other one [of the two] in the first half of 2016 and then maybe The Defenders in the second half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017.”
That leaves us with something to look forward to in early 2016 when the summer is long gone and colder weather comes to stay.
