On Wednesday, Mariah Carey, 45, gushed about her romance with her new boyfriend at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons issue party in New York, and told Entertainment Tonight that “It’s fun, I’m not gonna lie.”

“He is not joining me inside tonight. But we were together last night, so that was fun,” Carey revealed. Mariah Carey and Packer started dating a few months back and the lovebirds even went on a luxury Mediterranean cruise on the Australian billionaire’s yacht. They were also spotted vacationing in Portofino, Italy, and Formentera, Spain.

According to reports, Mariah Carey and James Packer have known each other for years but it took a while before they decided to take their friendship to the next level.
The couple kept their relationship private at first but during Carey’s Las Vegas show in July, she admitted her relationship with Packer.
During her concert, Mariah Carey dedicated her performance of “Hero” to Packer, who was in attendance.
“I’ve got a new heart tonight. James is in the house. Thank you for my heart. I dedicated this next song to you,” Carey said.
Mirror claims that they were told by a source close to Mariah Carey that the superstar is planning to settle down and have kids with the businessman.
Another source also said that James Packer is also keen on marrying Carey.
“James wants to marry her sooner rather than later, and she is very open to the idea,” the insider shared.
The same insider said that they definitely want to have a child together.
Another insider also confirmed the couple is, indeed, planning to start a family of their own .
“Mariah feels that having a child with James would be a blessing from God. She wants another child and is telling friends she’s not too old,” the insider added.
Before she and Packer became an item, Mariah Carey had two previous marriages. In 1993, she married Tommy Mottola and separated from him in 1998. Shortly after that, she married comedian Nick Cannon, with whom she shares twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

In August, 2014, Mariah Carey announced her separation from Nick Cannon. In December that year, a few months after Carey made the announcement, Cannon filed for divorce ending their six-year union as husband and wife.
Mariah Carey’s boyfriend, James Packer, officially separated from his wife Erica Baxter Packer, model and singer, in 2013. Packer has three children with Erica.
