A 22-year-old British man has been arrested at Disneyland Paris. He was trying to have a fake wedding with a 9-year-old girl. The fake ceremony was going to happen on June 21, held in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
After his arrest, he confessed that it was a fake wedding and nothing else. He just wanted to record it for social media, considering it was not going to be a real marriage.
According to the Disneyland Paris employees, they noticed the pre-scheduled ceremony had a very young bride, which was alarming to them. They looked deeper into the pre-scheduled wedding and found that the wedding guests were hired actors who were present in the park for this event. Moreover, not much information and details were given about the wedding.
After the arrest, the 9-year-old was taken for a medical investigation, and it was revealed that she was unharmed. According to the assistant prosecutor of the case, Alexandre Verney, four people were arrested related to the case, including the child’s mother, who’s Ukrainian and two people from Latvia, aged 34 and 55.

The 41-year-old mother of the girl was well aware of the fake wedding. One of the Latvians, who are 55 years old, and the child’s mother have been released. However, the fake groom and the other 24-year-old are still held back in jail.
The Sunday Times reveals they are behind the bars over a potential financial fraud. Many witnesses revealed that they were in shock looking at the child who was going to be a part of the mock wedding at Disneyland. They thought they were going to attend a wedding with adults but were shocked to see a child was the bride-to-be.

They did not expect this sudden news. One man appreciated Disneyland for figuring out the issue and informing the authorities about it. They canceled the not-so-fairytale wedding the moment they realized the bride was just a child. In fact, they were all shocked to see that too. They hope the child is safe now and no one attempts to do the same again to an underage child.
