Lindsey Vonn is afraid that Tiger Woods could return to his womanizing ways.
A source close to the Olympic skier said she fears that as Tiger grows closer to his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, the two could rekindle their spark and leave Lindsey in the lurch .
“Lindsey is convinced that Tiger still has feelings for Elin and, if he got the chance, he would dump Lindsey in a flash and get back together with her,” a source said.
This marks the second time in the past few weeks that Vonn has expressed fears that Woods may cheat on her . Reports from late July said the Olympic skier was worried about a family trip Tiger planned to take with Elin and their two children.
Lindsey Vonn reportedly thought that if Tiger and Elin did somehow hook up during the family trip to Sweden, it would prompt Tiger to return to his ex wife.
Elin Nordegren has been getting closer with Tiger in recent months. The couple was seen together at an event in Florida to support their children, and Elin reportedly joined Tiger and Lindsey on some family outings this summer.
Sources told the New York Post’s Page Six that Elin Nordegren “really likes Lindsey and thinks she is a very good influence on Tiger.” It is an important step for Lindsey Vonn given the fact that Vonn needs to give her stamp of approval before Tiger is allowed to bring women near their children.
But no matter how well their relationship goes, it seems Lindsey isn’t ready to make a trip down the aisle with Tiger. She said after divorcing her first husband that she never wants to married again.
“I’m not an idiot; I try not to look, but I see what people say about me on Facebook,” Vonn said. “I see other things written. But I don’t care. I learned a while ago from my divorce that my happiness is the most important thing. That’s all I can control. And right now, I’m happy.”
If Lindsey Vonn has doubts about her relationship with Tiger Woods, she will not be afforded much privacy in which to deal with it. All eyes will be on the couple this week when Tiger travels to the PGA Championship to tries to win his first Major since 2008.
