Lindsey Vonn is reportedly worried that boyfriend Tiger Woods could be going back to his cheating ways — and end up with the woman he scorned in the first place.
Tiger’s ex-wife Elin Nordegren just split up with her billionaire boyfriend, and now that she is single again sources say Lindsey is terrified that Tiger wants to win her back.
Sources have told The National ENQUIRER that Elin’s split with coal mogul Christopher Cline could leave an opening to reconcile with Tiger Woods.
“Elin grew tired of the relationship, not only because Christopher is under fire, but also because his head was so wrapped up in business she felt like a distant second place,” said a friend.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren famously split in 2009 after it was revealed that the 39-year-old golfer had carried on affairs with more than a dozen women. But with Elin single again, sources say Lindsey Vonn “really fears it’s only a matter of time until Tiger begs her to take him back.”
Complicating the situation is the fact that Lindsey Vonn and Elin Nordegren have actually grown quite close. The two have been together for family vacations involving the two kids Tiger and Elin share.
Earlier this year, a source told Us Weekly that Elin and Lindsey even grew to be friends .
The source said: “After meeting her, [Elin] found she actually liked her. You’d think it would be weird, but Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time. Elin likes that Lindsey is a strong woman.”
“Lindsey is really good for Tiger,” the source added. “She’s strong, opinionated, and keeps him in line. Elin found that they are very similar and have a lot in common. They laugh and talk like they have been girlfriends forever.”
But given Tiger’s history with relationships, Lindsey Vonn may be justified in fearing he strays back to his ex wife.
