Lindsay Lohan was rushed to the hospital on Sunday evening with a lung infection. The actress was transported to a New York City emergency room. A TMZ source claims the former Disney star has been sick recently and may have had walking pneumonia. The 26-year-old star’s condition allegedly deteriorated over the weekend, prompting the trip to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Lohan reportedly was given antibiotics and released shortly later. She is now apparently recovering and resting at her hotel room. Michael Lohan blames Lilo’s asthma for the lingering illness, according to the New York Daily News . He claims the lung infection has been bothering his daughter for weeks and even caused a delay in her trip to New York City from California.
Michael Lohan had this to say about his daughter’s health:
“She’s fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously. When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma.”
Last week the Liz & Dick star was accused of leaving the scene of an accident during a trip to the Dream Hotel around 2 am. Lindsay was pulling up to the New York City hot spot at a slow rate of speed when preparing to park her Porsche Cayenne, according to TMZ . A pedestrian claims she hit his knee. The actress, who is no stranger to legal trouble, was issued a desk appearance to respond to the allegations. Lilo denies she even slightly side-swiping the Manhattan cook, but he claims she smelled of alcohol and was slurring at the time of the alleged accident.
