Actress Leighton Meester has officially added her name to the growing list of pregnant celebrities this year!
Us Weekly reported on Monday that Leighton Meester is currently expecting her first child with actor Adam Brody.
Photos of the 29-year-old actress smiling with a growing baby bump have been published online on Pop Sugar .
In comparison to other celebrity relationships and Hollywood marriages, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have mostly been able to keep their relationship away from the limelight for quite some time.
For instance, the couple secretly wed less than three months after the news of their engagement first became public knowledge.
During a Reddit AMA conducted last August, Adam Brody took full advantage of the chance to answer questions about his relationship with the Gossip Girl actress.
For instance, the Baggage Claim actor jokingly claimed that he wanted to have 12 kids with Leighton Meester and that she did the “heavy lifting” when it came to taking care of chores around the house.
“I do some stuff but she definitely does the heavy lifting (figuratively). Literally, I do the heavy lifting.”
As actors, the two have not had very many chances to collaborate together on a movie set since they became husband and wife. However, the future parents do star in leading roles of the film, Life Partners alongside Community actress Gillian Jacobs.

In an interview with Nylon magazine, Leighton Meester opened up about how the casting of herself and her husband in the same movie even happened in the first place.
“There wasn’t time to ask if we wanted to do this together. I was reading the script. I loved the part and loved the movie. I was going to the meeting that day and he called me and said, ‘They offered me this role.’”
While he admits that it was nice to share time with someone that he already has a familial relationship with far away from the camera on a movie set, Adam Brody told Huffington Post that it is not something they plan on doing frequently.
Besides, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody will more than likely have their hands full enjoying their upcoming new roles as first-time parents in the highly-anticipated, off-screen “film” featuring their firstborn as the star of the show.
