One of the first things LeAnn Rimes did after leaving rehab was catch a show. The 30-year-old Grammy Award winner attended the Batman Live premiere in Los Angeles with her entire brood nearly a month after seeking treatment for anxiety and stress.
Rimes attended the show alongside her husband, 39-year-old Eddie Cibrian, and her stepsons, 9-year-old Mason and 5-year-old Jake. The Batman Live show marks her first public appearance with family since entering an in-patient treatment facility in August. She has left the program several times already, but for work obligations: She performed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on September 7, and sang for the Save The Music Foundation in Napa, California on September 20.
Rimes’ rep told Us Weekly that she singer had decided to enter rehab “to learn and develop coping mechanisms” to help deal with stressful situations, allegedly because “LeAnn makes herself sick with worry about Eddie carousing. It’s all become too much for her.”
Cibrian and Rimes infamously engaged in an affair while both were married to other people. “She’s afraid Eddie will always be a cheater,” a family friend recently explained. “She keeps reading rumors about Eddie cheating on her and has started believing them.”
According to MSN , Rimes is currently at work on her 12th album, Spitfire , which she hopes will mark a comeback in her career. “After the cheating scandal, her career was never the same — and she is still faced with so much criticism,” said a source. “She thought it would go away, but it hasn’t.”
Furthermore, “LeAnn has a lot of anguish over how her career turned out and feels she should be as big as Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood.”
Regardless of what’s going on in her personal life, Rimes seemed happy at the Batman Live show, and shared her excitement with her Twitter followers before the show, tweeting a picture of herself wearing cat ears:
