The Walking Dead alum Laurie Holden will reportedly play the villain in Bobby and Peter Farrelly’s upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel.
The Inquisitr previously reported that the actress had landed the lead female role in the highly-anticipated follow-up. At the time of the announcement, very little about her character was available to the public. However, some interesting plot details have recently bubbled to the surfaced.
According to the folks at Deadline , Laurie Holden will play the villainous Adele Pichlow in Dumb and Dumber To . The character plots to kill her husband and her step-daughter so she can run off with the handyman.
Pichlow also plans to kill Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels). It’s unclear at the moment how these characters all fit together in the story.
Worst Previews is reporting that several characters from the original flick are returning for the long-awaited follow-up. Not only does the blind boy who receives Lloyd and Harry’s decapitated bird return, the film also features the angry redneck known as Sea Bass (Cam Neely).
In addition to Laurie Holden, legendary screen actress Kathleen Turner recently landed a role in the Dumb and Dumber sequel. However, details about her character aren’t available as of this writing. However, chances are this could change in the coming weeks.
Although Holden is probably best known for her work in the hit AMC series The Walking Dead , she has appeared in a number of notable movies and television series over the years. Her small screen credits also include The Shield , The X-Files , and The Magnificent Seven .
The actress’ theatrical credits include Christoph Gans’ adaptation of Silent Hill , The Mist , and the Jim Carrey flick The Majestic . The upcoming sequel will serve as her first big-screen credit following her stint on the cable network’s acclaimed zombie drama.
