Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott has given birth to a baby girl! The country star, along with husband Chris Tyrrell, welcomed their first child into the world on Monday.
Scott first announced her pregnancy on Twitter in December, and confirmed in March that she was expecting a girl. The couple was married in January 2012 in an intimate ceremony in New York.
Hillary Scott announced the birth with a tweet , writing, “She’s here, and we are in HEAVEN!!! Eisele Kaye, our beautiful angel, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”
The Lady Antebellum singer also released a photo of little Eisele’s footprints. Scott has tweeted multiple times about her pregnancy, including in January 15 when she revealed a pregnancy craving, writing:
“Who has two thumbs and just asked her husband, and very nicely I might add, to run into the grocery store for pop tarts? ME! Pregnancy.”
That craving was apparently the only one the singer had, aside from sleep of course. She explained in an interview, “There was one night where I looked at my husband and I was like, ‘We really have to go to the grocery store because I need a Pop-Tart right now.’ ”
She also posted a photo of a stuffed giraffe in a car seat earlier this month, saying, “Car seat practice…now hoping I can safely secure it in my car. Thankfully I have time to figure it out.” With more than two weeks of practice, we’re sure Hillary Scott will be a pro at putting little Eisele into her car seat.
PEOPLE notes that Hillary Scott’s daughter’s name is a combination of her husband’s mother’s maiden name and her own mother’s middle name. Proud daddy Christ Tyrrell commented, “She is incredibly gorgeous.”
Scott’s daughter wasn’t the only celebrity baby to be born on Monday. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed the future King of England into the world as well.
