In case there was any doubt, it’s pretty much back on between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (or is it?). The recently embattled couple were spotted kissing, cuddling and embracing by the pool and other outdoor areas of Stewart’s new Los Feliz home.
Perez Hilton reported on a series of images, originally posted on celebrity gossip site PopSugar on October 18, which show Stewart and Pattinson engaging in a little poolside PDA. What’s that you ask? “Where can I see these pictures?” Well, nowhere. Apparently, all 83 photos were yanked from the site within 24 hours of their initial posting. So why were they pulled? According to PopSugar :
“After learning more about the circumstances surrounding the images previously posted in this story, we have decided they are not up to our editorial standards. We have removed them out of respect for the privacy of celebrities.”
According to the Examiner , some fans say that the images were taken without the couple’s consent, which led to them being taken down. Others have called it a publicity stunt to drum up publicity for Breaking Dawn II . One of the more interesting theories about the Pattinson/Stewart scandal and reconciliation is that the entire thing was arranged for publicity, but paying attention to the other couple, Rupert Sanders and Liberty Ross, seems to indicate that the scandal itself was genuine. Unless, of course, Sanders and Ross stood to gain recognition for Snow White and their own careers by sacrificing their marriage.
In any case, the best explanation for where these photos came from and where they went comes from Lainey Gossip :
“The photo agency representing these images is AKM-GSI. It’s the same agency that often shoots LeAnn Rimes when, you know, she’s engaged and she just happens to be gazing out at the ocean with Eddie Cibrian’s arms around her and the ring in full view. It’s also the agency that shoots Megan Fox when she gets married in Hawaii, top secretly, or when she’s pregnant in Hawaii and the bump is unmistakable and her husband is kissing it. You know this, I know you do. That celebrities stage photos or arrange to have their photos taken ‘candidly’.”
So the photos were arranged by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to persuade Twilight fans that all is well and that they should go see Breaking Dawn II ? I think a public statement would have been simpler.
