Kim Zolciak is the latest Real Housewives star to speak out about Kim Richards. In recent months, Richards has received tons of publicity for what has been reported as a number of relapses, an arrest, and three reported stints in rehab.
During a June 10 interview with Entertainment Tonight , Kim Zolciak spoke of her fellow Real Housewives star, claiming she understands the pressures a reality show can add.
“I don’t know Kim personally. I do know her sister Kyle, and I adore her. I don’t know the whole story and I definitely don’t feel like I’m in a position to comment, I just know the toll being on any Housewife franchise can take on you. It’s difficult.”
Richards wrapped filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 earlier this year, and a short time later, suffered a relapse after years of sobriety. Following her relapse, Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had reportedly become drunk — and kicked a police officer. A short time later, Richards entered the first of three rehabs in recent weeks, where she was said to be addressing issues stemming from her addiction to alcohol.
Kim Zolciak continued on, claiming that being around cameras regularly can add pressure to anyone’s situation.
“The people don’t realize that the cameras do add pressure. The media and the comments that people say, he said, she said, causes the drama. I mean, I’ve been there and it’s difficult.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Zolciak isn’t the only Real Housewives star who has spoken out about Kim Richards’ issues . Just yesterday, Lea Black, formerly of The Real Housewives of Miami , spoke to Perez Hilton , claiming Richards may benefit from spending some time away from Bravo cameras .
“Reality TV is stressful. Maybe a little time out will be good for her. On the other hand, I’m sure it’s a great income source for her. So you know, I feel bad for her. When you’re on that show, everyone’s looking for that ‘A-ha, caught you’ moment. And if they don’t find it, they’ll make it up. So, it’s a challenge.”
Kim Zolciak has starred on Bravo for a number of years, both on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and her own spinoff series, Don’t Be Tardy . She will also be seen in the upcoming reality series The Road to Riches , which also stars her former co-star on RHOA NeNe Leakes.
