Kim Richards’ Pit Bull Trained As ‘Attack Dog,’ Claims Trainer

Kim Richards’ pit bull was reportedly trained to be an “attack dog.” According to an expert trainer who claimed to have worked with the dog, Kingsley’s bad behavior is the result of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s lack of boundaries for the animal.

“That dog has an issue with resource guarding,” the trainer, who did not want to be identified, told Radar Online on January 23.

“Resource guarding means that they have a resource and they guard it. Usually the counter-condition and the cure is to remove the resource. If it is a tennis ball, or a bone, or a dog toy, you remove it and then you reintroduce the resource slowly. The problem with Kingsley is that the resource is Kim.

“With Kingsley, if you go anywhere near Kim or in her proximity, he just goes into attack-mode. That is dangerous. We wouldn’t call this a protection dog, we call it an attack dog.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ pit bull has a history of attacking her friends and family. Most recently, Kingsley attacked Alexia Umansky , daughter of Richards’ sister, Kyle.

In early November 2014, Umansky was spending time at Richards’ Los Angeles home, when Kingsley attacked her, sending her to a local hospital where she underwent two surgeries.

Months prior, 80-year-old Kay Rozario claimed to have been attacked by Kim Richards’ pit bull. In an interview with Radar Online , Rozario said Kingsley ripped her hand open “down to the tendon.”

“It just came at me. I didn’t see it coming at all! He ripped my hand open down to the tendon. Blood was everywhere. I was soaked in blood. The floor was soaked in blood.”

The dog’s previous trainer told Radar the dog’s main issue was his lack of rules and boundaries. Perhaps if Richards better enforced rules around, and outside, her home, the dog would have behaved better.

“She loved on it so much that she never laid down boundaries and with an empty-nester like Kim, where people are leaving the home, that dog attaches itself to its owner. That dog is a male. Kim is a female. There is a lot that has to do with that as far as dog as the dog’s willingness to protect.”

Following the dog’s attack on Umansky, Richards claimed he was trying to protect her.

It is currently unknown whether or not Kim Richards’ pit bull is still living in her home.
