Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, spoke to fans yesterday, denying he is currently on his deathbed. While there have been reports, claiming the former husband of reality star Kim Richards, and the father of her daughter Brooke Brinson-Wiederhorn, could soon reach the end of his life, Brinson claims he is not nearly as bad off as some have proclaimed.
On September 2, Kim Richards’ ex-husband shared the following message on Instagram:
“And for them to say I had 2 months a year ago last May. I guess cancer didn’t know who they we’re up against. And when I read I’m on my deathbed all I can do is laugh. Never felt better, now I’m just going to start traveling and enjoying life like everyone should.”
Kim Richards’ ex-husband has been at her side for the last several months, despite her sobriety struggles.
In April, the former reality star was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, a favorite spot of Kim Richards’ late mother, and charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer, and trespassing. From there, Kim Richards entered rehab, but while she was allowed to attend the wedding of her daughter Brooke in Mexico, she failed to return to the facility before the designated deadline, and was forced to enter a second facility upon her return to Los Angeles.
Then, months later, Kim Richards was arrested for a second time at a Target store in Van Nuys, California, where she was accused of stealing over $600 worth of toys and other items.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ ex-husband defended her on Instagram after her second arrest, and commented on the untrue rumors circulating about her in the weeks since.
“One day the people that didn’t believe in you will tell everyone how they met you. That quote is in honor of [Kim Richards] all I will say at this time besides being best friends, and personally a person who has a great heart is thankful to all her fans and friends for believing in her… Without going into detail 90 per-cent of what you read is completely false. But for her fans that have stayed with her through this roller coaster will see her very soon at what she’s done best all her life since the age of 4. I’m excited for her.”
Kim Richards’ pre-trial hearing for her public intoxication case will begin on September 14.
