The past month has been an unforgiving one for Kelly Osbourne. She has been wildly accused of racism for her comments about Latinos cleaning toilets. Since then, Osbourne has been the subject of a brutal backlash. There have not only been memes on Twitter that have her superimposed with Hitler’s mustache , but Kelly has also been the subject of a deportation petition .

Perhaps, Kelly Osbourne thought she could make people forget about her scandal by paying tribute to Joan Rivers on the one-year anniversary of her death. It all seemed innocent enough .

Almost as soon as Kelly posted the picture, the attack dogs came out in full force. Some people even went as far as to accuse Osbourne of exploiting Rivers’ death. Comments under an article on People were unforgiving.

“Kelly is now using Joan’s death to try and cover up for her racist Latino controversy. Joan was a real comedian where Kelly is a no-talent racist,” commented bigred8690.

“Wow, the nerve of Kelly to try and use Rivers death to improve her PR. Kelly Osbourne is nothing but a less talented version of the Pillsbury Dough Boy,” writes Lars McDonald.

Twitter definitely wasn’t in for Kelly’s tribute to Joan Rivers either.

Perhaps one of the reasons why so many people are upset about Osbourne paying tribute to Joan Rivers is that Rivers did not like political correctness, which Kelly Osbourne succumbed to earlier this year.

On the show Fashion Police , Giuliana Rancic had said Zendaya Coleman’s Oscar dreadlocks looked like they would smell of weed . Some though the statement was harmless. Some were also offended, but Kelly Osbourne used it as a publicity stunt to make herself look good. She condemned Rancic for her choice of words and then quit the show. Many believe the comments Kelly made about Latinos is far worse than anything Giuliana Rancic has ever said.

Despite the backlash, Kelly Osbourne continues to make several public appearances. According to Business Standard , Osbourne will team up with her parents for a Disney television show called The 7d . It appears that Kelly Osbourne’s current rough times could just be just a blip on the meter and won’t affect her career in the long run.
