Keira Knightley was en route to the Toronto Film Festival where she was promoting two films, Laggies and The Imitation Game . A fan stopped her at the airport asking for a photo thinking that she was Anne Hathaway.
“Actually I think I have to apologize to Anne Hathaway because the woman thought I was being really rude as Anne Hathaway not giving her a picture as Anne Hathaway but I was really only saying that I promised I wasn’t Anne Hathaway – which I am not.”
According to MSN , Keira Knightley said that she has been mistaken for different celebrities , but it was the first time that she was mistaken for Anne Hathaway. “Generally, I get a lot of Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman,” she said.
Ironically, Knightley stepped into her role in Laggies after Hathaway dropped out. Hathaway dropped out of the independent movie late into the process and the producers were in search of a replacement. In an interview, Knightley admitted that she didn’t have anything going on at that time and decided to take on the role.
“Stylistically, it’s completely different from what I had been doing previously so it was very much ‘jump in and hope for the best.’”
Knightley’s latest project is The Imitation Game, which hits theaters next year. The historical thriller is about British mathematician Alan Turing, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and Keira Knightley plays Joan Clarke, an English numismatist and cryptanalyst.
Another big event in the actress’ life is her pregnancy. As Inquistr previously reported, the 29-year-old actress is expecting her first child with her husband, musician James Righton.
Last year, Keira Knightley expressed her views on motherhood and said that she does not want to be a stay-at-home mom.
“I don’t want to deny my femininity. But would I want to be a stay-at-home mother? No. On the other hand, you should be allowed to do that, as should men, without being sneered at.”
Keira Knightley and James Righton will be welcoming the new addition to their family in Spring, 2015.
