Katy Perry seems to be partying it up lately. The singer has taken a well-deserved break from her Prismatic World Tour. Katy’s latest party sighting shows off her typical, colorful style as she parties poolside with a latex-covered mermaid.
Katy Perry became the life of the party at her friend’s pool party. The “Dark Horse” singer shared a strange photo of herself posing alongside a mermaid wearing a black latex costume. Perry, dressed in a green and white vertical stripe romper, was photographed smoking a hookah pipe with the strange sea creature.
Katy captioned the photo: “Ayyyye pink dolphin what’s good?! @permaidpermaid.” She was referencing the rare pink dolphin that was spotted in Louisiana over the Labor Day weekend. Katy’s wild party photo was taken by photographer Rony Alwin.
Permaid means “Persian mermaid.” The character appears in different social media photos taken at parties and events in Los Angeles, according to a previous report via Us Weekly . The “Permaid” is always seen wearing a black latex mermaid costume. The social media account is run by Katy Perry’s friends, Nicolette Mishkan and Aeschleah DeMartino.
Perry is the first celebrity to post alongside the mysterious mermaid. Mishkan spoke to LA Weekly about their special photo project last year that is all about the mermaid trying to find her place in society.
“We’re creating a story for her based on our friends. It’s about the Permaid trying to fit in, learning to accept that she doesn’t belong in any circle.”
Just days before she shared the wild party photo, Katy got her hands a little dirty at the Hollywood Chinese Theater during the premiere of Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott’s Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer . Katy was on full display in the black gown with a plunging neckline she wore. The pop star accessorized her super sexy look with blue eye shadow and a bouffant hairstyle.
Perry was close to having a wardrobe malfunction, according to a previous report via E! News . As she placed her hands on the cement, Perry’s dress slid down and gave viewers an eyeful. Luckily, Perry noticed and made sure that the dress didn’t give her goods away.
Of course, no one was looking at Katy Perry’s hands , as TMZ previously noted. Spectators were too busy looking at her chest instead.
