Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz became engaged in July during filming on Vanderpump Rules Season 4, and, as fans assumed, their special moment will soon be seen on the show. On September 16, following the release of the Season 4 trailer, Katie Maloney’s fiancé took to Twitter, where he joked about how long it took him to finally get down on one knee.

Throughout Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules , Katie Maloney made it clear that she intended to marry Schwartz, and even gave him a deadline to propose last season (she eventually changed her mind about the six-month deadline). Although Schwartz claimed he wanted to be more stable financially before asking Katie Maloney to marry him, Maloney felt she had waited long enough, and after the infamous “ring-on-a-string” scene at Scheana Marie and Mike Shay’s wedding, she gave Schwartz the ultimatum.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Katie Maloney was confident a proposal was coming soon just months after filming on Vanderpump Rules Season 3 wrapped. In an interview with Cupid’s Pulse in March, Katie Maloney spoke of her and Schwartz’ upcoming engagement, as well as their future plans for a family.
“I’m confident now that a proposal is coming. We’re in the best place that we’ve been in. We went through hell, and we decided that our relationship is important to us both. We’re committed equally to it, and I think we’re more in love than we have been.”
When asked how she’d like Schwartz to propose to her, Katie Maloney explained, “I want him to do something that’s representative of us and that he wants to do.”
Katie Maloney also claimed she was hoping for a family — but not until after she and Schwartz enjoy married life for a while.
“I definitely want us to enjoy being married for a bit before we start having kids. And that’s why I want to get the ball moving — I’m young, but I’m not getting younger!”
As for a possible Vanderpump Rules wedding, Katie Maloney told Cupid’s Pulse , “We’ll see!”
Katie Maloney went on to explained her upcoming wedding to Schwartz as “completely stress-free.”
“We get married, and then we party!”
