Kate Middleton Is No Longer Britain’s Most Copied Royal Style-Wise – Who Owns The Crown Now?

Kate Middleton is without a doubt one of the most copied style icons because everything she wears sells out immediately, but this might not be the case anymore.

According to a new report released by eBay, a toddler has exceeded the Duchess of Cambridge in terms of the number of searches for her outfits. The girl is none other than the adorable Princess Charlotte.

As per the Daily Mail , the vice president of the popular site, said, “It’s the youngest generation of royals who really generate the must-have fashion items—and driving a new generation of shopping [behavior] on eBay.”

When she celebrated her second birthday last May, eBay reports that searches for the yellow John Lewis cardigan she donned “increased tenfold.” The exact clothing piece sold out “instantly” and similar-looking versions soon surfaced. Two months later, the site witnessed the same spike in searches for the smock dress Charlotte wore for the royal family’s tour of Germany.

It appears that Charlotte will soon make a name for herself as a fashion icon just like her mother. Brand Finance previously claimed in a research that the “Kate Effect” contributes £4.7 billion ($6.2 billion) annually to United Kingdom’s economy and that Charlotte’s worth throughout her lifetime will exceed £3 billion ($3.9 billion).

Another chic member will soon join the royal family as Prince William’s wife is pregnant with their third child. She hasn’t been seen in public recently because of her hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), an extreme form of morning sickness experienced by 1 out of 100 pregnant women.

Since one of the symptoms of HG is hypotension or low blood pressure when moving around, the mother-of-two opts to be absent from her public duties in favor of bed rest. Her delicate condition even made her miss George’s first day at school. Kate also had to endure HG when she was pregnant with George and Charlotte.

Nonetheless, Kate returned to the spotlight on Tuesday with William and Harry for a special reception held at Buckingham Palace in celebration of World Mental Health Day.

The event aimed to honor the contributions of workers in the mental health sector. The trio launched the Heads Together campaign in 2016 to encourage dialogues about mental health. They have been working relentlessly in recent years to fight the stigma surrounding mental illnesses.

People magazine reports that the Duke of Cambridge said in a speech that it was his wife “who first realized that all three of us were working on mental health in our individual areas of focus. She had seen that at the core of adult issues like addiction and family breakdown, unresolved childhood mental health issues were often part of the problem.”

The event marks Kate’s first public outing since the family’s commemoration of Princess Diana’s 20th death anniversary on August 30.
