Justin Bieber Needs A ‘Spank’ Says Veteran Rock Manager Without Irony

Justin Bieber’s recent headline making behavior has generated a lot of talk. But, for veteran music manager Peter Mensch — the time for talking is over.

Mensch has come over all 1940’s and is recommending a dose of slaps for the pop star.

“I’d take Bieber to the woodshed and spank him,”the 60-year-old told The Sun .

Mensch — a native New Yorker whose first client was Brit band Def Leppard, and now manages [via his co-owned company Q Prime Management] acts such as Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Josh Groban and Snow Patrol — probably isn’t a subscriber to any “Belieber” fan mailing lists.

After outlining his corporate punishment ‘fantasies,’ somewhat controversially Mensch added:

“His manager Scooter Braun is scared s***less.”

The outspoken manager then signed off his outburst with what is possibly the worst fortune cookie message. Ever.

“I don’t know what Bieber’s problem is. His career is over in three years anyway.”

While that’s obviously debatable, Bieber has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons for some time now.

The 19-year-old’s most recent mishap was the quarantining of his pet monkey Mally — a recent birthday gift — by Munich airport customs officials after he failed to provide a health certificate and other necessary papers.

The singer is also being investigated by Los Angeles detectives over a battery allegation by a neighbor at his Calabasas, California home. The neighbor claims Bieber spat on and threatened to kill him during an argument last Tuesday after he complained about the Canadian’s allegedly reckless driving in the local area.

Previous dramas on the London leg of his Believe world tour saw Bieber tweet about a “worst birthday,” incur the wrath of parents and fans after a late stage showing, persistent shirtlessness, gas mask wearing, and an expletive-filled run-in with a British paparazzo at the end of his “rough week.”

British readers of The Inquisitr may be familiar with the Mensch name.

The rock manager is married to ex-Tory lawmaker Louise Mensch, in what it is a third marriage for him and a second for her. Louise worked as a member of the UK’s parliament from 2010-12. She is also the author of several ‘chick-flick’ novels writing her first, Career Girls , in 1995.

While serving on the Select Committee for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport during Rupert Murdoch’s News of the World phone hacking scandal, Mensch incorrectly claimed that CNN TV host Piers Morgan had referred to his role in phone hacking in his autobiography while he was the editor of the Daily Mirror from 1996-2004.

After a Twitter row with Morgan, Mensch was subsequently challenged on CNN by Morgan to back up her televised claims. Mensch refused and cited immunity under parliamentary privilege. She later apologized to Morgan and claimed she had misread a newspaper report about his book.

Perhaps Mensch would be better off letting Bieber be and directing his spanks a little closer to home? Sound off below.
