Justin Bieber manager feels the Grammys “blew it” by not nominating the teen pop singer for an award. Scooter Braun fired off a series of tweets last night after the Grammy Nominations Live Concert in Nashville. The singer has developed quite a following among the tween and teen set, but apparently Bieber did not impress the Grammy board enough to be included this year.

Scooter Braun penned this about his boss on Twitter :

“I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one.”

Braun went on to give praise to another client who did get the Grammy nod this year, Carly Rae Jepsen, of “Call Me Maybe” fame, The Wall Street Journa l notes. Last month Justin Bieber won Artist of the Year honors at the American Music Awards , according to Rolling Stone.

Bieber’s latest album, Believe , was released during the summer, well before the September 30 Grammy consideration deadline. The album debuted in the top spot on the Billboard albums chart. Believe has been certified platinum in the United States and has sold more than one million copies. The success of Justin Bieber’s latest musical release in one of the factors Scooter Braun used to justify his angst with the Grammy board.

Braun had this to say when expanding upon his comments about the Grammys skipping over Bieber this year:

“The hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. The kid delivered. Huge successful album, sold out tour, and won people over. This time he deserved to be recognized and I don’t really have any kind, nice, positive things to say about a decision I don’t agree with. Looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer.”
