Jose Mourinho Refuses To Divulge Future Plans

Jose Mourinho has refused to disclose whether he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Speculation has run rampant and wild in the English and Spanish press regarding Mourinho’s future plans.

The ‘Special One’ has been linked with a return to Chelsea where he enjoyed a successful spell from 2004 to 2007.

Mourinho’s days are likely numbered at Real Madrid and he hinted at a summer exit earlier in the week but he refused to divulge any further information on Friday.

“It’s not worth talking about if I go or not,” he said at a press conference. “If I go, I will not give any explanations. I have not made a decision yet.

“The first to know will be my wife and children. Then the president and director general.”

Mourinho has been unable to deliver a Champions League title that club officials and fans alike so clearly covet and Madrid’s loss to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals has left his future very much up in the air.

However, the Portuguese manager insists that he is concentrating solely on Madrid’s upcoming games.

“I have a Copa del Rey final and La Liga matches to play,” he added. “Finishing second in the league is not what we want but it is better than finishing third. We want to win as many points as possible.”

Real Madrid broke Barcelona’s hegemony in Spain by winning the Liga title last season but are 11 points off the pace this year.

The Spanish giants are also in danger of ending the campaign without a trophy if they fail to beat city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.

Most signs point to Jose Mourinho leaving Real Madrid after he admitted earlier this week that he wants to go to a club where he is loved and it won’t be long now until we figure out where he will land.
