Jessica Simpson has her baby bump on full display, but right now its baby Maxwell who’s getting all the attention.
Jessica made an appearance at Southpark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina to promote her Jessica Simpson Girl’s Collection. The singer showed off her baby bump as she met with fans, but it was the little girl Maxwell who got the most attention as she hammed it up for cameras.
Jessica Simpson has already divulged some details about her forthcoming little guy. In February, an unnamed source told Us Weekly that Jessica and Eric had a name picked out — Ace. This seemed to confirm the speculation that she was having a boy, though the couple named their first daughter Maxwell Drew, so they obviously have a tendency toward gender-neutral names.
A few weeks later, Jessica accidentally revealed that she and fiance Eric Johnson are expecting a son while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live .
When Jimmy asked her how she was feeling in her second pregnancy, Jessica answered:”I never knew that a wiener could actually make me so nauseous.”
Realizing what she had just revealed, Jessica Simpson laughed and put her hand over her mouth.
“Wait … what did you intend to say there?” Kimmel asked her.
“Well, I guess I just told the whole world that I’m having a boy ,” Simpson replied as she smiled.
At the appearance this week, Jessica Simpson said she’s trying to keep the baby bump a bit more under control in this pregnancy.
“This time around I think because I was doing Weight Watchers and I felt super healthy, I’m not really craving as much and I know how hard it is [to take the weight off] so I’m trying to make healthier, wiser decisions,” she has told Ellen DeGeneres about her baby boy, due this summer.
The work seems to be paying off. E! News noted that at her mall appearance in Charlotte, Jessica Simpson and her baby bump looked radiant in maroon-hued maxi dress from her own line.
