Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel’s divorce appears to be taking a less than amicable turn. Hoppy allegedly warned his soon-to-be ex-wife that she could end up just like her mother – unhappy and alone.
Initial reports after the split was announced indicated that the parting significant others were going to refrain from taking pot shots at one another. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , both Jason and Bethenny are seeking custody of little Bryn.
A Radar Online source had this to say about Jason Hoppy’s thoughts on Bethenny:
“Jason and Bethenny have been arguing incessantly and the divorce is definitely turning nasty. Jason knows the subject of Bethenny’s mom is a trigger for her emotionally. She is always saying that she doesn’t want to end up like her and she views her with nothing but absolute disdain. She sees her as sad and lonely and isolated from the rest of the world. Jason told Bethenny that if she isn’t careful Bryn could grow up to despise her, just like Bethenny does her own mother.”
Frankel allegedly did not respond well to the comments about her mother and Bryn’s future thoughts. The former Real Housewives of New York star supposedly yelled “hysterically” at Hoppy. She allegedly told him that bringing up her mother was a hit below the belt.
Last year Bethenny Frankel’s mother told Star magazine that Jason Hoppy was too nice for her daughter and thought the couple was headed towards divorce.
Both Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are seeking primary custody of Bryn and sole ownership of their New York apartment, US Magazine notes. Each parent is also reportedly seeking child support and standard items such as medical, dental, and life insurance.
