If anyone can recognize primal activity in Donald Trump, it’s world-renowned chimp expert Jane Goodall. And, she has plenty to say.

You’ve seen Donald Trump in the debates. It’s no surprise that Jane Goodall would weigh in on the situation. It was only a matter of time.

Donald Trump’s “Dominance Rituals”

Goodall has spent many years among chimpanzees within the wild.

And, by “spent many years among chimpanzees,” I mean that she’s literally lived with them.

Yet, she’s not really one who needs an introduction. Most everyone in the public school system has learned about Jane Goodall at some point, right?

As concerns Goodall’s analysis on Donald Trump , via an interview with The Atlantic , she makes statements reminiscent of her studies in the wild.

“In many ways, the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals,” expresses Goodall.

According to the source, she mentioned this about Trump even before he won the GOP nomination.

Trump’s Primal Intimidation Tactics

As the interview continues, Jane mentions that it’s all about influencing the opposition.

“In order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks,” Goodall elaborates.

If you’ve seen Donald Trump during the debates or even at his rallies, you know that “louder is better.” Louder means you’re more personable, no?

As long as you look like you know what you’re talking about and speak with “confidence,” those outside the particular political answers won’t know you’re wrong, right?

Well unfortunately, in a nutshell, that’s Trump’s political philosophy.

Similar to Jane Goodall’s analysis, is this not a method of dominance assertion?

Here’s the rest of this primal expert’s observation.

“The more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position,” says Jane.

Wow. Talk about reality…

Let’s Make Noise

Anyone with a brain can see that Donald makes zero sense during his speeches, often gliding away from the topic.

Likewise, none of his many words are backed by fact. From the looks of FactCheck.org, investigators usually debunk his statements with kindergarten ease.

Yet, Trump makes a lot of noise and gives the illusion that he’s ahead of the game. It confuses his supporters as well as his opponents.

Coincidentally, that’s the same thing Jane Goodall talks about in her book, My Life with the Chimpanzees .

The Atlantic notes that, in her book, she discusses a particular chimp named Mike.

According to the source, Mike “maintained his dominance by kicking a series of kerosene cans ahead of him as he moved down a road, creating confusion and noise that made his rivals flee and cower.”

Here are a few those “kerosene cans.”

  • “Make America Great Again!”
  • “Let’s build a wall.”
  • Trump supporters and their threats
  • Blaming Donald Trump’s failings on “the media” or President Obama

There are so many other examples, but there wouldn’t be enough space to write them all here.

Jane Goodall mentions that she has been thinking of Mike as she’s watched the debates.

“What do you have to lose?”

Leave it to Donald Trump, this country is in such bad shape, he asks questions like the aforementioned heading. Trump says that poverty is at the highest it’s ever been in U.S. history.

Yet, facts state that poverty is at record lows.

Likewise, Donald Trump claims that “inner city youths” are struggling with epidemic poverty levels . However, according to NBC News , “suburbs house more poor Americans than inner cities.”

So, like Jane has implied, Trump is just kicking that old kerosene can down the road and making noise.

As for concerns of poverty, Washington Examiner quotes President Obama as follows.

“Our integrated economy, including trade, has helped make life better for billions of people around the world. Extreme poverty has been dramatically reduced … people are living longer and have more opportunity than ever before.”

So, overall, what do you think about Goodall’s analysis of Donald Trump? Was it spot-on or what? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
