Actress Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen were married in New York City on Saturday, October 26.
The happy couple tied the knot at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall. The wedding included family and close friends.
Ricci showed up to marry Heerdegen in a Givenchy Haut Couture wedding dress with a high neck and white beaded long sleeves. She wore a long train.
Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen announced their engagement in February.
While much of the wedding was traditional, it also included a candy table alongside its buffet. According to snoops the bride traveled to Economy Candy in Lower East Side to pick up the special treats.
Ricci has been a regular actress in some of Hollywood’s more avant-garde films since the early 1990s. She received her big break in 1991’s The Addams Family and 1993’s Addams Family Values. In 1995 Ricci jumped over to the popular live action version of children’s favorite Casper. In 1999 Ricci appear in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow.
Jumping from movies to the small screen Ricci met James Heerdegen while filming her short lived series Pan Am in 2011.
Ricci can most recently be heard in the Smurfs 2 where she voices the character of Vexi.
Heerdegren is a Hollywood dolly grip, a technician who is specifically trained to operate a camera dolly. The Dolly trip is responsible for placing, leveling, and moving the dolly track. They typically push and pull the dolly as a camera operator shoots a scene. The dolly grip is responsible for moving the dolly based on a directors orders while ensuring the safety of the camera’s operator by moving them through often complex scenes.
While Christina Ricci has played a number of strange roles in Hollywood, she has also been met with some critical success, including her 1998 Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in The Opposite of Sex. She was also nominated for an Emmy for her turn as a paramedic in Grey’s Anatomy .
