While Bieber may still be enamored with his first love, a source claiming to be close to the couple maintains the perky brunette might not be so smitten. The insider had this to say during an exclusive interview with the celebrity website:
“Justin’s heart is with Selena because she’s his first true love, but Selena is pretty much just riding out the relationship because she knows he’s good for her image. Dating Justin is good for Selena’s brand. Together they’re a brand. Everyone in Selena’s camp is aware of Justin’s star power and is urging her to make it work with him.”
The supposed Gomez and Bieber insider also claims that if the pop singer’s star ever started to fade, the actress would not waste any time heading out the door. The couple has been together for more than a year, according to the Huffington Post . Jealously is allegedly an issue in the relationship. Selena and Justin are on the “verge of breaking up” all the time, if source claims are accurate.
The rumors about a faux romance, or at least a coupling with only one-sided desire, could cause a rift between the pair of youthful stars. Even if the source claims are entirely baseless, the public embarrassment of the gossip could cause the singer to start questioning his significant other’s every word, gesture, and kiss.
