Having bad hair days isn’t something unnatural, as almost all people face this problem, and even the Vice President is not an exception to it. However, netizens as always with their habit of poking personalities didn’t make JD Vance an exception and made fun of him when he was photographed which can be stated as a less-than-stellar-looking ‘do.
There’s a fine line between looking like a jarring fade and looking like the person is rocking a toupee, and Vance surely looked like the latter. Eventually, social media users spent a day trolling Vance concerning the unflattering video that went viral.
Vance hasn’t fully come out of the fresher status, and he had been campaigning in Valdosta, Georgia, in August 2024 when he headed towards a sweet shop to buy some donuts.

As mentioned, there have been several comments on social media since then – “No matter what side you’re on, I think we can all agree that the back of JD Vance’s head looks like a shaved pineapple,” wrote one Facebook user. Another user on Reddit compared him to an “Ice Age” character, Manny the woolly mammoth.
Several people viewed it as a bad cut, and they also questioned whether it was a badly-placed toupee. In the latter camp, one Redditor mused, “People have to realize that’s a poorly placed piece.”
Another user agreed to the same and asked if it had been put on the wrong way. Besides people viewing it as an awful cut, some people also viewed it as intentional. “Whoever cut his hair saw an opportunity and took it. Hero,” a Redditor wrote.
And between these people having opposite mindsets, there emerged another wave of people saying – “He told his barber to gimme the toupée top,” an X user speculated, in a word: yikes.

People are blaming JD Vance’s hairstyle on his awkward conversation
Amidst this scenario of netizens making fun of the Vice President, another theory has come up saying JD Vance has made the same peculiar request of his barber to the employees present at the sweet shop.
As the YouTube video says, he literally struggled to converse with the employees who, on the other hand, were uncomfortable with him too, and also his entourage being in the store.

Exhibit A: He said to one of those employees that he was among the vice presidential candidates, and on the contrary, her reply was – “Oka,y” reflecting on her unenthusiasm. It was unclear if he was thrown by that, but then came Exhibit B – where he asked a couple of employees for “a lot of glazed and cinnamon rolls, and then, just whatever makes sense.”
In the comments section, entertainment reached its peak – “Dog, do you not know how placing an order works?s wtf are you talking about?” joked one viewer. “How do you want your hair cut, sir? Just whatever makes sense,” quipped one.
