Shia LaBeouf has been plagued with legal problems for the past couple of years, mostly stemming from his alcohol abuse. The former Disney Channel actor was arrested on Saturday, July 5 around 4:00 a.m. while on location in Savannah, Georgia for his new film, The Peanut Butter Falcon.

The police reported that he had become violent with them, but it appears that Shia LaBeouf actually went on a racist tirade against a black cop in surveillance footage released on Wednesday.

A separate video released on Tuesday shows Shia LaBeouf telling officers his had a gun and threatened to “blow his s**t up.”

After the arrest videos were made public, Shia LaBeouf apologized to the cops who handled his arrest and told them they acted with great restraint for not being more violent with him than they were.

The star made a statement on his Twitter, telling fans he was deeply ashamed of his behavior. He admitted that this was a new low for him, and hoped that this time would be the last the public would see him acting in this manner. He also stated that he had been “publicly struggling with addiction” for a while now and hoped that he could use this as a way to get better.

According to TMZ , cast and crew on the set of Peanut Butter Falcon stated that Shia LaBeouf had been nothing but pleasant to work with during the shoot thus far. The cast and crew had been nervous after hearing some of the rumors about his on-set antics, but they found that he was actually quite easy to work with and never appeared on set with a hangover or drunk.

Shia LaBeouf showed up to the set on Monday morning and was business as usual . According to insiders on the set, no one said anything about the incident and are stating it will be handled in court.

The videos that have surfaced of Shia LaBeouf on his racist rant, telling a cop he will go straight to hell for being black and telling a white cop that his wife “probably searches porn for big black d**k” were evidently news to the cast and crew.
