Innocence of Muslims suspected filmmaker , Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, was escorted from his home with his face covered, by law enforcement officers. He was transported to a Los Angeles sheriff’s office and questioned by federal authorities. The alleged maker of the controversial film about the Islamic Prophet Muhammad was not being questioned about the content of the movie, but on possible probation violations, according to the Daily Mail .

Members of the media essentially staked out Nakoula’s home in a Southern California cul de sac for about 48 hours before he emerged cloaked in scarf, coat, hat, and glasses. The law enforcement officers arrived at the home around midnight in unmarked cars.

Nakoula, was previously arrested on financial crimes. Although he was not detained after the weekend questioning session, if probation officers determine the alleged Innocence of Muslim s creator violated the terms of his release, back to prison he goes to complete his original sentence. LA County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told NBCLA New s that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was taken to their Cerritos station to determine if uploading a video to the internet violated the terms of his 5-year probation.

The suspected anti-Islamic movie maker was reportedly very cooperative and agreed to the voluntary interview prior to the arrival of deputies at his home. According to Nakoula’s earlier statements to the Associated Press , he claims he was not the director of Innocence of Muslims but rather a logistics manager.

Although there have been no reports of crime or disturbances at his home, Nakoula requested increased patrols around the property. Two attorneys were escorted inside the house on Friday, they were allegedly the first people to be welcomed inside in several days.
