Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are heating up. The Vampire Diaries star and the Twilight actress have been dating for a while now, and are reportedly already living together.
According to People Magazine , Ian has officially moved on from his Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev, whom he dated for three years before the couple split in 2013.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Nina Dobrev is “just fine” with Ian Somerhalder’s new relationship with Nikki Reed, as Nina and Ian have somehow managed to stay close friends and maintain a professional work relationship after their split, which is a feat that not a lot of stars have accomplished over the years.
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed first emerged as a couple back in July, when sources revealed the two were embarking on a brand new romantic relationship.
“They were a bit affectionate and looked cute together. Nikki looked giddy but also a bit shy about Ian’s affection. You could tell that it’s all very new and that they haven’t dated for long,” a source said of the pair at the time.
While many fans are still hoping that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev will get back together, despite the fact that he seems happy with Nikki Reed, it looks like Dobrev may be moving on herself.
Over the past few months, Nina Dobrev has proven she’s over Ian Somerhalder by being linked to Dancing With The Stars hottie Derek Hough, Miley Cyrus’ ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, and was even rumored to have been spotted making out with Orlando Bloom.
Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have been showing off some serious PDA together.
According to Hollywood Life , Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed attended the Beyond Hunger charity event in Beverly Hills together on August 22 as a couple, and it was more than obvious the two are completely smitten with one another.
“There was always an attraction between them. So it was easy to slip into dating,” an insider revealed of Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s romance.
Ian and Nikki are now shacking up together in Atlanta, where Somerhalder films The Vampire Diaries . Reed, who’s fresh off a split from husband Paul McDonald, moved closer to her man, and can now keep an eye on him and his ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, while they spend tons of time together on set. Ian and Nina’s characters, Elena and Damon, are hopelessly in love, and are sure to have even more steamy scenes when season 6 debuts this fall.
