A husband pretended to throw his toddler son off the balcony in front of his wife – she was far less than amused with what some are calling, “the cruelest prank ever.” Roman Atwood set up cameras in the balcony area and had his two sons help him pull off the intricate prank in order to scare his wife.
Roman Atwood had been playing in the living room with his Spiderman costume clad toddler son just moments before throwing a dummy adorned in the same costume, off the balcony. The video of the prank has now gone viral. The dad posted the video to YouTube on November 30 and to date is has garnered almost five million views.
Atwood’s wife came home from work and saw the father and son playing and romping around the living room, not an unusual sight. When the woman walked briefly out of the room the California dad enlisted the help of an older son and switched out the toddler for the dummy dressed in the same face-covering Spiderman costume.
When the mom returns with the water she was asked to get for the father and son, she sees her husband tossing the “toddler” over the balcony railing of their Los Angeles home. She scream and runs down the stairs, seemingly paralyzed with fear as she watches what she believes to be her baby boy, falling to the ground. As what appears to be a body laying motionless on the floor in a death pose, she runs to the child.
As the mother removes the Spiderman costume hood, she finally realizes that is was a dummy thrown over the balcony and not her toddler son. The horrified mother shoots an extremely angry look at her husband and asks, “Why would you do that?”

Roman Atwood simply shrugs and says, “It’s just for fun.” The still shaken mother tells her spouse that he will be sleeping on the couch and kicks him in the groin before she leaves the room. Some mothers who watched the viral video felt a divorce, and not simply a lonely night spent on the couch, was in order.
