is reporting that Florida State senior cornerback Greg Reid was arrested Tuesday and charged with three violations after a traffic stop in Lowdnes County, Ga.

Authorities say the arrest came after the 21-year-old Reid was stopped by a Georgia State Patrol officer in South Georgia for failing to use his seat belt.

During the stop, it was also discovered that Reid’s license was suspended and that he had an amount of marijuana on him.

He was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail where he was charged with possession of marijuana (less than an ounce); driving with a suspended license; and hit with a seat belt violation.

He was later released from jail after posting bond. Further details regarding the arrest are unavailable at this time.

As Sports Illustrated points out, Reid’s recent arrest isn’t his first go-around with law enforcement.

Last fall, Reid was charged with perjury in an unofficial proceeding and resisting arrest. The late-September night of his arrest, officers trying to apprehend a suspect who was riding a scooter registered to Reid that had no license plate on it. The alleged suspect was believed to be a friend of Reid’s.

Those chargers were later dropped by the state attorney.

Florida Today writes that the Seminoles slapped Reid with a one-game suspension last season for violating team rules and added that Tuesday’s arrest could undoubtedly lead to another suspension.

Last season Gred Reid averaged 11.2 yards per punt return with a touchdown, had 32 tackles, two interceptions, and broke up five passes.
