We’re in the middle of award season for films but also for music, as the Grammy nominations were announced this morning. There were a ton of surprises and snubs, and a few no brainers (Taylor Swift), and now we have the reactions from the musicians and their fans on the Grammy nominations.

As expected, Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar got the most nominations. It wasn’t a surprise because they had a massive year. Swift for her then-record-breaking album, 1989 , and Kendrick Lamar, who was praised for his album, To Pimp a Butterfly . Lamar is up for nine awards, while Swift is up for seven, and The Weekend also scored seven nominations, as well.

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran reacted to his nomination in a tweet.

I wasn’t expecting the Grammy noms, thank you

Josh Groban was another vocalist to give his thanks for his nomination.

Omg!! Honored to be in such tremendous company! #stages #GRAMMYs https://t.co/3opJBgORpi

Singer John Legend and soon-to-be daddy posted about his excitement, and wife Chrissy Teigen showed her support in her signature humorous way.

@johnlegend and i just barely made it to the bathroom in time. big day.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber posted a thank you note via his Instagram account.

Up for a Grammy with these guys thanks to everyone who has been a part of this amazing musical transition

Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild spoke to the Associated Press about her Grammy nomination this morning.

“You always want to believe that songs like ‘Girl Crush’ are going to rise to the top and be heard, but it doesn’t always happen. It says a lot about the community here in Nashville and the way artists, instead of being competitive, often are cheering each other on.”

The Grammys didn’t just celebrate new acts in music. Legend Tony Bennett was also nominated with Bill Charlap.

“We put all our love for jazz and the songs of Jerome Kern — that are such a testament to the Great American Songbook — into this recording. It is always an honor to be nominated for a Grammy.”

Of course, with the Grammy nominations come the surprises and snubs. Some stars just couldn’t handle feeling left out of the nominations. R&B vocalist Omarion was aggravated that he wasn’t nominated for the hit “Post To Be” with Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko. He took to Twitter to express his disbelief.

“Post to be” is one of the greatest R&B collaborations ever. CB, Jhene, & myself been in the game 10+.

— OMARION (@1Omarion) December 7, 2015

Even though people act like its easy to make a hit (& it’s not). As an artist you look forward to being acknowledged by the game.

— OMARION (@1Omarion) December 7, 2015

The odds have always been against me. I constantly prove you wrong. I’ll consistently do great things & you will have to celebrate me.

— OMARION (@1Omarion) December 7, 2015

This isn’t a “im upset” (post to be) rant. This is a- ok so that wasn’t good enough. I’ll be back. Have my Grammy’s ready.

After Omarion unleashed his “I’m not upset” rant on Twitter, fans gave him backlash.

There was an awful lot of surprise surrounding Meghan Trainor’s Grammy nomination. Most of it resulted in backlash, and her name trended due to the significant amount of hate she received on Twitter for her nomination. Many believed that he didn’t deserve a nomination. Another shock came when rapper Fetty Wap wasn’t nominated, despite dominating the charts this year.

What do you think about the Grammy nominations?
